If you are considering our Custom or
Premium Finishes we work with any nationally available
paint such as Benjamin Moore, Behr, Duron, Sherwin Williams, Pratt and
Lambert, etc. We will need to know the paint colors you have in your
room such as the wall, trim and ceiling colors, or be provided with
samples of fabrics to custom match. For example, If you want your ceiling
to have the same color palette as an oriental rug in the room, you can
select the colors using the paint chips of the company you prefer and/or
send us any digital photos we can use to select colors for your approval.
Step 1. Measure
— Measure your ceiling, noting the location of any intrusions,
such as chandelier, recessed lights, HVAC grilles, speakers, sprinklers
and smoke detectors. It is important that your measurements are accurate
so they do not interfere with the installation of the painted plaster
ornament.
Step 2. Select Ornamentation
— Choose the style of ornamental ceiling that works best
with your decor and personal preferences. You may mix periods using
the running S-curve Louis XV molding for your Empire
ceiling instead of the bell running ornament. E-mail
us with any questions or concerns.
Step 3. Specify Ornamentation
— Calculate how much molding you will need to connect your corners
and side pieces. The running ornament is priced by the foot. It is always
a good idea to get more (10-15%) than you will need to allow for miscalculations
and breakage which can happen to even the most experienced installer.
For difficult ceilings which may have an irregular shape or if you prefer
design assistance we provide reflected ceiling plans starting at $100
for a drawing which provides accurate placement of ornamentation for
ordering and installation. E-mail
us with any questions or concerns.
Step 4. Place Your
Order — Choose your finish from the Standard
Faux Finishes and place your order in our E-Store. For
Custom or Premium Finishes e-mail
us for your complimentary consultation with our Artist/Designer
to determine your finish. Another ordering option is to use gemstone
cabochons, Sworovski flatback crystals, or decorative nailheads to cover
the screw heads you will be using to attach your ornamentation to the
ceiling. This is an option, as we can locate the screw holes in the
relief of the ornament where it will be difficult to see, and the screw
heads can be painted to blend in with the finish of your ornament. To
see decorative options for the screw heads vist our
How To Install page. Once you have placed your order, please
allow 6 weeks for delivery. Shipping charges are calculated on the size
and weight and will be handled individually. Please call for information.
Step 5. Installation —
