Plan the size of your
panel and draw the
rectangle on the wall
with a watercolor
pencil.

Cut moulding to fit 4-1/2"
from the corners. For a
36" x 48" panel cut the
molding 27" x 39".
|
Drill 1/8" starter nail hole
into the molding 1/4" from
each edge to hold the
molding in exact place.
|
Apply adhesive caulk to the
back of the molding and
secure into place using a
small nail. Wipe excess
caulk with a rag.
|
Fit the corners into
place with adhesive
caulk. Clean up excess
caulk with a damp rag.
|
Touch up the corners
and molding by caulking.
Use a wet brush and
damp rag to clear
the excess caulk.
|
Complete fitting the
corners, which should
cover the small nail
holes. No seams or nails
should be exposed.

Paint the inside of
the panel in a
companion color.

Add a stencil to the
center of the panel
and coordinate finishes.
